The Alva Square Bed Swing — Handcrafted Macramé, Ivory

Not simply a swing — a suspended square of calm. The Alva is handwoven from 10mm macramé poly cotton cords in a generous 70" square form, allowing light and shadow to shape its presence through the day. At home above a timber deck, in a sun-drenched living room, or on a sheltered alfresco.

Suitable for indoor use and covered outdoor areas. For best results in Australia's high-UV climate, use a weather cover when not in use for extended periods outdoors.

Installation

The swing hangs from a single ceiling hook (not included). A load-rated hook must be installed by a licensed carpenter or tradie into a structural ceiling beam or joist — plasterboard (gyprock) alone cannot support this swing. For outdoor installation on a beam or pergola, use stainless steel or galvanised hardware to resist moisture. Once the hook is in place, the swing is self-installation.

Care instructions

Swing frame: Dust 2–3 times per week. Spot clean with diluted antiseptic spray. Dry clean only — do not machine wash or submerge.
Mattress and cushions: Remove covers and hand wash gently in cool water. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
Food stains: Alcohol wipes can be used on fabric surfaces.
Inspect suspension knots and hanging hardware every 3 months. Do not exceed the 250 kg weight capacity.
